Congregation Agudath Achim (Bradley Beach, NJ) is restoring two Sifrei Torah to “better than new condition.” Once restored each will be available as a donation at an amount substantially below the cost of having a new Torah written. This is a wonderful opportunity to honor a loved one or perpetuate the memory of someone you have lost.
During the summer of 2016 we will conduct an appropriate ceremony welcoming the newly restored Torahs back to the shul and provide an opportunity for members of Klal Yisrael to fulfill the mitzvah of writing a Torah.
We are offering each Sefer Torah for a pledge of at least $13,000. This donation can be paid over a period of up to 5 years. Should there be competing requests for this opportunity, we will award the honor to the 2 highest bidders. It is understood that these Sifrei Torah will remain in the shul as long as the shul remains in existence in its present location.
